Brad recently retired after a 35-year career as a wildlife biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, where he spent decades researching fish and wildlife across nearly every region of Alaska. A passionate and highly experienced field naturalist, he has worked in some of the state’s most remote and challenging environments.
Now based in Anchorage, Brad remains deeply active in the field. He regularly participates in pelagic trips and biological surveys and has extensive experience with Alaska’s seabirds, including work in the Aleutians and on offshore projects targeting species such as Aleutian Tern. Tracking down hard-to-find species is a particular passion of his, and one he enjoys sharing with others.
An avid mountain runner, fisherman, and wildlife photographer, Brad brings both energy and deep field knowledge to every outing. His calm presence, sharp eye, and decades of experience make him an exceptional guide for birders looking to explore Alaska in depth.
