Ezekiel discovered his love of nature at age 12 while living in the northern panhandle of Idaho. Growing up in a family that moved often, he had the opportunity to experience birds and habitats across the United States. In 2024, he completed a Lower 48 Big Year with an impressive 757 species. Drawn to Arizona’s diversity and year-round birding opportunities, he chose to make the state his home base.
Ezekiel is passionate about helping birders reach their personal goals and enjoys mentoring young birders, especially in eBird use and conservation awareness. He has volunteered at multiple Audubon centers, contributing to habitat restoration, participating in hawk watch surveys, and leading local bird walks. His goal is to deepen his community’s appreciation for birds and help others connect with the natural world around them.
