Jody Enck’s lifelong fascination with birds began on a farm in south-central Pennsylvania, where he developed a deep appreciation for the natural world. That early passion eventually grew into a career devoted to understanding both birds and the people who care about them.
As a conservation professional, researcher, and lifelong birder, Jody has spent decades exploring how birds connect us across landscapes, cultures, and borders. During an extended stay in Honduras in 2016, he envisioned a way to bring birders throughout the Americas closer together. That idea became the Sister Bird Club Network, an initiative that continues to build relationships among birding communities across the Western Hemisphere.
Jody has led more than a dozen international birding trips for the Cayuga Bird Club, helping participants experience not only remarkable birds but also the conservation challenges and successes that shape their future. Whether leading a field trip, sharing stories from his travels, or discussing bird behavior and migration, Jody is passionate about helping people see birds as a source of wonder, connection, and hope.
